Meet Bonno
Founder, Director & Lead Guide
Born and raised in Etsha 13, in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Bonno’s life has always been deeply rooted in Botswana’s wilderness. Coming from the Mbukushu and Bayei tribes, his heritage is closely tied to the Delta’s waterways, wildlife, and traditions.
From a young age, Bonno learned the rhythms of bush life while living at a cattle post with his grandfather, a traditional healer. There he developed a profound respect for nature — learning to track wildlife, gather wild plants, fish the Delta, and understand the delicate balance of the ecosystem.
Bonno began his safari journey as a mokoro poler, guiding guests through Botswana’s iconic waterways and sharing stories of the land. His natural gift for guiding, teaching, and reading the bush led him to become a professional safari guide, refining his skills with respected safari operators over more than a decade.
Today, with over 10 years of professional guiding experience and more than 2,000 safaris led, Bonno brings guests far beyond the typical game drive — helping them understand Botswana through its wildlife, birdlife, waterways, plants, traditions, and stories.
For Bonno, safari is not just about seeing animals.
It is about experiencing Botswana fully.
Meet Cliah
Founder, Director, Host & Wellness Facilitator
Born in Canada and raised in Japan, Cliah brings a truly global perspective to Safari All Around.
Growing up between cultures sparked a lifelong love of travel, learning, and meaningful human connection. Her passion for discovery led her to become a professional educator, entrepreneur, event director, Japanese-English translator, and licensed yoga instructor.
As founder of a successful English and leadership school in Japan, Cliah designed and led more than 300 camps and large-scale educational events, creating immersive experiences that blended creativity, safety, structure, and joy.
Her work with children, families, and international communities shaped her belief that travel should do more than entertain — it should inspire learning, awareness, kindness, and connection.
At Safari All Around, Cliah curates the guest experience from start to finish — combining hospitality, organisation, wellness, cultural sensitivity, and educational experiences to ensure every safari is seamless, meaningful, and deeply memorable.
She also offers optional yoga and wellness experiences, helping guests slow down, reconnect, and experience Botswana with mindfulness and presence.
For Cliah, safari is not only something we see — it is something we feel.
